Data Protection Declaration/Notes about Data Protection
By means of the following notes, we are providing information about the purpose, type and scope of the collection, processing and use of personal data on our web site. The following notes refer primarily to the collection, processing and saving of personal data by our web server. Please keep in mind that, where applicable, there are additional notes for registered users in our Usage Terms and Conditions.
Personal data are individual data about personal and factual circumstances for a designated or designatable natural person.
When visiting our Internet pages, data are collected, processed and used whereby it cannot always be ruled out that a personal reference to an individual person may be made. So that the pages can be shown in your browser, the IP address data must be collected and saved. As a rule, an IP address is currently dynamically assigned by your provider. This address is oftentimes changed upon a regular basis so that we can make no inferences about individual persons from the IP address. However, if static IP addresses are used, it would theoretically be possible in the individual cases to make inferences about individual persons where applicable. When each retrieval is made, the following set of data is stored:
- IP address of the retrieving computer,
- Operating system of the retrieving computer
- Browser version of the retrieving computer
- Name of the retrieved file,
- Date and time of day of the retrieval,
- Transferred data quantity
- Referring URL
The saved data are evaluated only for statistical purposes and not for making a concrete inference about an individual person. Moreover, where applicable, the data are used in order to enable the elimination of defects.
IP addresses are deleted by no later than 72 hours.
For purposes of the needs-based design of the web site and our services, we use the Web analysis tool Google Analytics from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are saved on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of the web site. The information produced by the cookie about your use of this web site (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In so doing, we use the so-called “_anonymizeIp()-Script” which ensures that your IP address will be promptly anonymised by Google (after a geo-localisation is implemented).
Google will use this information in order to evaluate your use of the web site, in order to draft reports about the web site activities for the web site operators and in order to render additional services related to the use of the web site and the Internet. Where applicable, Google shall also transfer this information to third parties insofar as this is required by law or insofar as third parties process these data by Google’s mandate. Google shall not commingle your IP address with other Google data.
You can prevent the installation of cookies by correspondingly changing the settings on your browser software; however, we wish to point out that, in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of this web site in their full scope. Moreover, Google offers so-called de-activation tools for some Internet browsers by means of which you can prevent the collection of data about and analysis of your usage behaviour. You can find more information about and download options for these tools here: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
